Illustrative alert
An alert you can’t trust is worse than no alert at all.
Most teams follow the same arc: set up monitoring, get flooded with false alarms, mute the channel — and go back to hearing about outages from customers. The usual culprit is a single checking location treating one failed request as an outage.
SutramX confirms before it alerts. A failed check is retried, and on multi-region plans an incident opens only when enough regions see the same failure at the same time. That costs a few seconds of detection time and removes most false pages.
Read exactly how SutramX checks your monitors — regions, quorum rules, retries and recovery.
Check, confirm, alert, tell, learn.
Five stages, from the first scheduled check to the weekly report — each one designed to keep the signal trustworthy.
- 01
Check
Scheduled checks run from outside your infrastructure — no agent, SDK or code change.
- 02
Confirm
A failed check is retried from the same region about two seconds later. On paid plans, several regions must agree before a monitor is marked down.
- 03
Alert
One alert thread to the channels your team already uses, then a recovery notice — which needs confirming too.
- 04
Tell your users
A status page with live monitor states, daily uptime bars and the incident updates you post.

Why This Alert
Every incident shows each region’s result, the quorum rule applied, the failure class and why an alert was — or wasn’t — sent. Rules, not guesswork, on every plan.
Learn more on SutramXVendor outage detection
When a dependency like a payments provider, an AI API or a cloud region fails, the incident is labelled likely external — so you stop debugging code that isn’t broken.
Learn more on SutramXMulti-region confirmation
Checks from Frankfurt, Arizona and Mumbai catch regional routing and CDN problems, and stop one bad request from waking anyone up.

HTTP/HTTPS, APIs with assertions, keyword, ping, TCP, UDP, cron and heartbeat, DNS records and remote MCP servers — all on every plan.

Questions teams ask first.
More answers in the SutramX FAQ and the documentation.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Checks run from SutramX’s own network, so there is no agent to install and no code to change. Adding a monitor takes about a minute.
Why am I not alerted on every failed check?
Because a single failure is usually a network blip. SutramX retries first, applies your failure threshold and, on paid plans, waits for several regions to agree before it pages anyone.
How fast will I hear about an outage?
Roughly your failure threshold times your check interval, plus a few seconds for the retry. With a one-minute interval, that is typically within one to two minutes.
Can I monitor endpoints that need authentication?
Yes. Attach headers such as bearer tokens or API keys; they are encrypted at rest and shown masked to read-only users.
How many team members can I add?
As many as you like — seats are unlimited on every plan, including Free.
