Wherecam · Terms of service

The terms for using Wherecam.

These terms apply to the Wherecam: GPS Map Camera app made by QuantumPlug Technologies LLP. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please read them with a parent or guardian.

1. Licence

QuantumPlug Technologies LLP grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Wherecam on devices you own or control. You may use the photos and videos you take for any lawful purpose, personal or work. Please do not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app itself.

2. Your photos

Everything you capture is yours. We do not receive your photos, videos or notes and claim no rights over them.

3. Stamp accuracy

The stamp shows what your phone reports at the moment of capture: its clock, GPS position, compass and the weather and address services described in the privacy policy. These can be wrong, for example with a weak GPS signal, a wrong phone clock or no internet. A custom location or address you type is shown as you typed it. A stamped photo is not a certified record, and you are responsible for how you use and describe it.

4. Use it lawfully

Respect other people's privacy and the law where you take photos and videos. Don't use Wherecam to mislead people about where or when a photo was taken, to harass anyone, or to record people where that is not allowed.

5. Third-party services

Weather data comes from MET Norway (CC BY 4.0), maps from OpenStreetMap contributors, Esri and OpenTopoMap, and addresses from your phone's own address service. They may be unavailable or inaccurate at times, and their own terms apply.

6. No warranty

Wherecam is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be error-free or always available, or that stamp details will be accurate.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuantumPlug Technologies LLP is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, for lost photos or data, or for decisions made based on stamp details. Keep copies of photos that matter.

8. Changes & governing law

We may update the app or these terms. We will post the updated terms with a new "Last updated" date and tell you in the app about important changes; if you keep using Wherecam after that, the updated terms apply. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live and may bring claims in your local courts.
